What you can expect

Chiang Mai is regarded as the city where traditions and modernity coexist in almost 50-50 proportion. The city houses more Buddhist temples, both living and archaeological sites, than any other cities in Thailand within the same size of area.

However, many people regard Chiang Mai as a prosperous Buddhist city by judging from numbers of Buddhist temples within the confined square shape city surrounded by the city moats. Least people are aware that the city was originally constructed in round shape with 2X2 Kilometres in diameters by basing on the ancient aboriginal "Lua" animistic belief as far back as in 8th Century or older.

Mysterious history about King Mangrai; his ethnic origin, his original faith which was acquainted to the Lua animistic belief and the way his ghost had been worshipped in animistic fashion are indeed fascinating.

By following the ancestral footsteps, from the ancient round shape earthen wall of the Lua people to the epicentre of the round shape city at Wat Chedi Luang then the first temple of the square shape city, Wat Chiang Man, then journey westward to the sacred temple of Wat Doi Suthep on Mount Suthep, let me introduce you to the historic layers of Chiang Mai in the unique way you will never experience from other conventional historical tour program in one day.

Hello there, my name is Akarin or Andy for friends.

I am a half Bangkokian - Chiang Mai man born in Bangkok and I’m passionate about history and culture.

A cool thing to know? I’m growing my own coffee in Chiang Mai to make sure I have the best choice around me.

As a descendent of Chinese family in Bangkok born of an authentic local Chiang Mai mother, I love both of my parents' cities for their
culture, heritage and lively atmosphere, they are as equally felt as homes to me!

On my tour you’ll to experience the old parts of either Chiang Mai or Bangkok, the famous and not so famous spots, together with authentic snacks that you’ll never forget."
