What you can expect

I would love to welcome you to a highlights tour of London's South Bank as we pass a dozen famous sites, observing our surroundings from ground level, above street level, and even sea level!

We start with a view of Big Ben and orient ourselves with some history of the South Bank - the original landing spot of the Romans who settled 2,000 years ago. We will then walk eastwards tracing River Thames downstream through centuries of culture, architectural innovation, history and intrigue.

We will wind our way through Borough Market - the site of a food market for over 1,000 years (where guests may optionally sample from some of the local delicacies).

En route we may attempt "mudlarking" - walking down to beach level to try to find ancient artefacts washed up on shore. PLEASE NOTE: This can only be done at low tide and if safe to do so!

Ending at Tower Bridge, we leave you with a spectacular view of the Tower of London and some ideas on how to carry on a tour on your own.

Most of our walk will be on a flat public pathway. Where possible we will enter a public building to go above street level for scenic photos. Access to those buildings will be dependent on their opening policy and delays due to possible security checks.

This tour can be fully customized to your wishes.

Born and raised in Ottawa, Canada I came to London for work in January 2001. Professionally, I am a trainer and business consultant in the field of IT and ecommerce. On a personal level I am an honorary yet committed "Londoner" with a passion for the whole city and surrounding areas. My degree in British History, also helps me retain and recall on demand, a myriad of interesting local facts! English is my mother tongue, and I can hold a robust conversation in Spanish; limited French."
