What you can expect

After the French colonization in Hanoi, the locals were introduced to coffee and they got hooked! The introduction of this beverage created a coffee tradition for the locals. And thanks to that, people in Hanoi started creating their own ways of drinking coffee and I want to take you to try a couple of them!

This coffee tasting experience will give you the opportunity to find out hidden cafes, enjoy new ways of drinking coffee while learning about they are made and it will let you discover the city one cup of coffee at a time.

I won't tell you the type of coffee you'll drink until you have tried it but I can tell you that the places you'll visit and where you'll enjoy your drink are hidden gems that only some locals know about.

Visit a French mansion built in 1936. Here, you will drink a special coffee containing a secret ingredient. Intriguing, right?
At this are you will catch a glimpse on how local people live their lives in the old quarters – the oldest and most expensive area of Hanoi.

Or what about a place that is hidden in broad daylight and that is considerate one of the three original “Hanoian cappuccino” cafes.

To keep the mystery going, you'll be kindly required to keep silent or whisper while drinking the 3rd cup of coffee. Unlikely the other parts of Hanoi which are dominated by the hustle and bustle, the third hidden coffee shop lays in a quieter military dormitory and has a very strict owner. He wants you to focus on enjoying your coffee, so don’t bother asking him for the wifi password.

And to turn things up a notch, try a delicious coffee dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth. Doesn't everything sounds amazing!?

If there is a specific coffee drink you would like to try, let me know and I'll personalize your drinks for you.

Let's have some coffee soon!

When I was a kid, I first knew about Bat Trang ceramic village by its pottery products. I still remember how careful my mom was while unpacking stuffs. Another world – delicate and colorful exposed in front of my eyes. The set of tea pot and cups, the plates and bowls; the saving pigs looked charming and so alive. My mind was absolutely blown away.

Since I had my first trip there, I always want to come back. When I am sitting on the bus, I can totally enjoy the peaceful views outside the windows. The delightful Red River looks energetic with lines of boats transporting goods. The green color of endless bamboo ranges and gardens make me forget my hustle and bustle life. As soon as I get there, I am welcomed by quiet and clean atmosphere. I also have chance to make ceramic stuffs by myself, create funny things. Walking along the winding lanes is my pleasure. I can see “cool” walls that have rows of peat on them. Besides, observing local ceramic makers performing their work, I am inspired. from head to toe. The ancient commune house and French style house are magnificent. The well-reserved architecture and the historical stories amaze me.

Being in love with Bat Trang, I hope that the beauty of tradition and ceramic art will be always reserved and introduced to more and more people."
