What you can expect

Take a break from the city, and spend the day hopping around two islands south of the city. Enjoy a scenic boat ride from Singapore and hear tons of stories from me about the great landmarks we’ll see fade away as we get closer to the islands.

Hop off the boat and take a walk around the first island: Kusu Island. This tiny island is full of past and present history, and I’ll tell you all about it. From its background stories about the culture and the traditional Chinese and Malay names give to the island to the now transformation of a cool island resort.
On this island we will stumble upon a vibrant Chinese temple with statues devoted to the tortoises, worshiped by the locals. These are local insights that most tourists never hear about, but not with me :)

The second Island is just a short trip away! Here, we’ll talk about how this tiny island was once world famous for being a quarantine station for the sick and where Raffles first set foot as he landed on Singapore. The island has gone through a transformation and I’ll tell you how the locals have changed it to what you see today.

More than stories, both islands offer incredible sights. Take your shoes off and feel the sand in your feet and why not test the waters. Everything is possible, just let me know your requests and I’ll personalize this experience for you.

In this Sep, I guided two senior couple guests from New Zealand to have tour at Singapore's iconic attractions including Gardens By The Bay, Mount Faber, Sentosa etc.

Our first stop was Mount Faber. When we reached the top of Mount Faber, it's very windy with birds chirping and trees leaves whirling in the cool breeze. The guests enjoyed the lovely weather and my female guest, who has an interest in Chinese culture, requested we could play martial art of Taiji in this natural scenic spot.

What a wonderful suggestion! I quickly searched the appropriate background music from my mobile phone and together we joined in to practise Taiji and enjoy the very peaceful moment together. My female guest was extremely excited. I was surprised at her mastery of the Chinese martial art and she shared her story of how she lives at a beach of New Zealand where she enjoyed her retirement life and has a Chinese martial master who teaches her daily.

When we reached Gardens By The Bay, the male guest felt tired and didn't want to walk. I really didn't want him miss this world famous attraction so I rented a wheelchair and personally assisted him all around the gardens including the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest conservatories. In the tour I described to my guests about Singapore's journey as a Garden City and shared with them my personal experience on the vibrancy of Singapore's cultures and lifestyle.

During the tour, I also arranged we had breaks at intervals to ensure the guests would have good rests without rush.

By the end of the tour, we have became good friends. My two guests were very grateful for my considerate tour guide and satisfied with my services. They shared that they have greatly enjoyed the personal tour and complimented for my professionalism. They said they would invite their friends to come along with them next year and appoint me as their personal guide again!"
