What you can expect

A hike with history, amazing views, and incredible facts? It's possible on the incredible Maclehose trail in Hong Kong!

Come with me and let's hike together this interesting trail to see Hong Kong from above! The best part? The trail is fit for everyone. Whether you want to go for an easy hike or put your condition to the test, the Maclehose trail has it all!

What's fascinating about this hike is the combination of history and sights along the way. Check out a section of the infamous Maclehose Trail, one of National Geographic's 20 Dream Trails of the World. Or how about a challenge? Go for a 5 km hike along the country trail where you get panoramic views of the Kowloon Peninsula all the way to Victoria Harbor.

Did you know that the Maclehose Trail formed part of the 'Gin Drinkers Defence Line'? Yes! During the Japanese invasion during World War II, this trail was once used by British forces, and I have all the insights about it!

Here's my recommendation: for a bit of adventure, bring a headlamp and let's wander in Shing Mun Redoubt, a network of tunnels connecting observation posts and pillboxes, which were also a fierce battleground in the past. No matter what you are into, a chill hike or a bit of thrill, Maclehose trail has it all. And don't worry, all trails are mostly paved, well maintained and suitable for any visitor who enjoys outdoor activities on their trip!

Need me to Pick you up? That can be arranged on request, just let me know what else you would like for me to personalize. See you soon!
