What you can expect

Although regarded as one of the world’s greatest cities, more than half of our land is countryside. Scenically, Hong Kong has so much more to offer than the more famous urban concrete jungle.

In this experience, you will get to see the picturesque landscape along the cycling path in the new territories of Hong Kong.

You will stop for some tasty local eateries, traditional temples that place important parts among the locals, old town buildings and colonial architecture. All these are tourist free areas where you can experience the real Hong Kong.

I will share with you the stories behind each place. And what’s more fun than enjoying all of these with an intimate bike outing! After we return the bike, we will visit one of the largest wet market in Hong Kong, get the very fresh food from the vendors to a local restaurant to prepare a hearty meal for us.

I will meet you at the metro station. This experience will take about 5 hours. The whole bike trail is approximately 15km (about 1.5 - 2 hours ride), with walking (about 1 hour in total) in between breaks to various sites. You will be mostly riding on the smooth and well-maintained public cycling path. I can 100% customize this tour to your wishes, so please get in touch!

I studied the Han Culture and have kept my passion with culture and history study. Growing up from a chefs family I had been a food columnist for more than six years. I love to discover stories and I had been digging through those hole-in-the-wall eateries in and around this city. In my free time I like hiking or biking in the serenic country sides. If you’re interested, I have tons of insider stories of local food industry. I’d also share with you the culture and history of Hong Kong - I’m specialised in the knowledge of Taoism and Buddhism temples as well as the southern Chinese folklore religion."
