What you can expect
Become a member of A Balinese farmer family for a day and experience this unique tradition. You will be hosted by our family either with Putu Arnawa or Kadek Anto or Made Sila as driver/ English speaking guide and Made Marsih and Mbok Ketut as your assistance/ chef in cooking.
We will take you to the morning local market then visit our family house. You'll be able to see the animals that we raise and see our farm land with vegetable and species. We will hike to our beautiful rice field and learning about rice growing . If your timing with the rice growing stage is right and if you dare, you are more than welcome to help us farm the rice.
The highlight of the day will be cooking together using our local ingredient using our traditional tool in wooden fire stove. We will make steam rice , vegetable soup, corn fritter, sate, corn fritter, mix vegetable, steam pork or chicken wrapped in banana leaves, fried banana or black rice pudding. The menu might change depending on the availability of the ingredient in out garden or market.
After the meals is ready then we will have lunch over looking Ayung river gorge. While having your desert, we will show you how to make Balinese daily offering.
In order to get the best experience and best deal of this unique day we recommend you to joint with at least 2 of you. When you make booking please advice us your hotel details in Ubud area. Transportation is not yet included if you stay outside of Ubud area.
