What you can expect

Amsterdam is one of the most gay-friendly cities in the world! and a pioneer in the history of LGBTQ+ rights!
Join me for a walk on the streets of the city best known for its commitment to equality and liberty and learn of its rich LGBTQ+ history.

Visit cultural hotspots, historical monuments, peculiar bookstores and iconic performance spaces.

During your walk, you'll stumble upon some of the most famous gay bars, such as Prik and Café 't Mandje (Amsterdam's oldest queer bar which opened in 1927!).
Chat about the broader landscape of LGBTQ+ life and experiences in the city.
This experience will help you understand a bit more about the queer community and I'll share with you insights and personal stories as well as to answer any question you might have.

On this experience, you'll discover the western and central side of Amsterdam. However, if you want to navigate the east gay side - just let me know and I will customize the tour. There is so much to learn and see, that I can create a tour that covers everything you wish to see and visit!

Is there another stop you want to take? A bar you want to visit? A shop you want to cruise? Let me know and I will make sure to add it to this tour!

Can't wait to show you what makes LGBTQ+ Amsterdam a once in the life-time experience. See you soon!

I am a story-teller who loves getting to know places and people. I am passionate about music, films and city-life. I like noticing the marks that people leave in the city, be it history or left-overs from a night out. I love the smells, sounds and all other sensations a city like Amsterdam has to offer. Connecting with others and sharing stories is what I do best, next to discovering treasures in second-hand shops, reading books sitting at cafes, seeing gigs of new bands and watching films in hidden venues."
