What you can expect

Under the shadow of the fearsome Fan Si Pan - the last major peak in the Himalayan chain, and well into the rain forests of the Sa Pa district, lies the quiet mountain town of Sa Pa. It the the perfect place to meet both the natural wonders of Northern Viet Nam, and the unique ethnic blend of the indigenous tribes, scattered throughout the area.

One can approach primitive ways of live and stay over with the Kinh (Viet) people, the Hmong, the Dao, the Tay, or the Giay.

I want to offer you a trip to Sapa in 3 days and 4 nights. You can visit 5 villages of 3 different minorities with 2 nights home-stay with locals and 2 nights on the train. The transportation to Sa Pa is mostly by the train, and no worries about that - it is the best way to marvel one landscape at a time with the moderate pace and familiar melody of the train wheels.
