"My experience with Tam in Hoi An was incredible and I can't recommend him highly enough. Signed up for the 10 Tastings of Hoi An experience with him while visiting end of March. Communication ahead was excellent and had us meet at his mom's shop. Food there was fantastic and it was great to meet his mother and learn about the restaurant's history and day to day activities. From there we went to various places around Hoi An I never would have found myself with each being an exceptional experience. You could tell he was part of the community and liked by everyone where we stopped based on the interactions plus was able to share so much interesting information. The whole time felt more like hanging out with a friend instead of following a guide around who was just doing their job. We did a similar tour in Da Nang with a different guide where the experience was only so-so and made ours with Tam stand out so much more. Connected again two days later for a bike tour that included more delicious food, beautiful scenery, visit with a local family, peaceful coconut boat ride, and finished with a great boat ride for the monthly lantern festival. Every little detail was planned out and time with him was the highlight of our trip. Anyone visiting Hoi An should absolutely book the food and/or bike tours with Tam! All the stops were interesting/tasty/varied and he was a goldmine of useful local information as well as kind and polite. We went later in the day and I’d recommend that from a temperature perspective as it’s easier to cope with the volume of food! It was a brilliant complement to a more brief food tour we did in Hanoi. Every dish was delicious, but the durian dessert was truly outstanding and a real highlight. "My husband and I had a fabulous time on the 10 tasting tour with Phuc. We are so happy we were able to try so many of Hoi An’s amazing foods- come hungry you will be so full by the end of the tour! Phuc first brought us to his mom’s restaurant, which was delicious and was outside of the touristy old town area. We then went back to old town and tried so many more foods- it was a great day. Phuc was very knowledgeable and friendly and had great recommendations for our trip. Highly recommend!"

"We absolutely loved our street food tour of Hoi An with Tam! It was perfectly paced (ages 8 - 80) and Tam took us to areas and foodie places we'd never have found otherwise! There was so much tasty food so definitely eat lightly beforehand. Lots of little pieces of knowledge about Hoi An were also really interesting and made the tour so much more than just about the food. "As a family of 5 we were so delighted with our experience with the wonderful Mun! She was fun, knowledgable, warm, adventurous, and made sure we ended up very full of real local food. Eating authentic central Vietnamese dishes we would never had ordered, ducking down alleyways we would have passed by, telling us fascinating historical or cultural facts we would never had known.. this was why we wanted to go 'with locals' and Mun was the very best. "We had the most amazing experience with Tam. The selection of food and drink were excellent. It was also very fluid - we didnt feel like we were part of a guided tour with preplanned stops. He adapted locations as we went due to floods in the city, our preferences, and what made sense next. All along the way, he explained some history, specific things about Hoi An, and shared some personal stories. At the end we even tried noodles from his family's restaurant which was delicious. "My mum and myself booked a tour with Thao. She was able to accommodate a vegetarian request for my mum. Thao is knowledgeable about food and her familiarity with the food vendors made the session even more enjoyable. Our tour ended at the Old Town. Thao took the time to bring me to the bridge to get a boat ride. Highly recommended!"
