"Mijn man en ik genoten van een mooie avondwandeling door Maastricht met Peter, een echte Maastrichtenaar. Peter haalde regelmatig zijn mooi Maastrichts boven en vertelde anekdotes uit zijn kinder- en jeudjaren, herinneringen aan familie en het leven in de stad. Dat combineerde hij met historische feiten over bekende en minder bekende plekken. Het was bijzonder om Maastricht eens op een andere manier te leren kennen, zeker op een winteravond wanneer het stadscentrum al wat leeg is gelopen. De rust en het donker gaven de stad iets intiems en geheimzinnigs. De statige panden kwamen door de zachte straatverlichting helemaal tot hun recht en het bijna zwarte interieur van de Onze Lieve Vrouwebasiliek was werkelijk prachtig. We hielden ook nog een korte stop in café De Tribunal, een gezellige en ongedwongen plek waar we iets lekkers dronken en even konden opwarmen. Deze wandeling voelde als een kijkje achter de schermen van de stad: persoonlijk, warm en vol liefde voor Maastricht. Een absolute aanrader!"
