We were able to visit a couple of local artist in their home, which would not have happened on a group tour. We walked the city for several hours at night and it was very memorable. "We made a great decision in hiring Tanivet to help us explore a colorful neighborhood, Jalatlaco, near our first night in Oaxaca. After getting to our hotel from the airport, Tanivet met us at our hotel. We spent 2+ hours touring the Jatatlaco barrio. She shared with us her enthusiasm and love for Oaxaca City. "Our group of 6 toured the Coyoacan neighborhood with Victor last Saturday. It was our first time in Mexico City and his suggestion to see this very cool and historic neighborhood. We loved the tour and thought he was awesome. I've been on many private tours that were loaded -- no overloaded -- with facts and historical data and info. But real storytelling and real insight into culture and vibe and what makes a place special and unique often goes missing. That's not the case with Victor. He was so real and relatable and gave us wonderful insight into what it was like to grow up and live in Mexico City and as an artist himself, what this unique part of the city really means to him and to others. Victor is a lovely human and was so much fun to be with. We really enjoyed him and were so happy with the tour. "

"Our group of four spent two days with Sofia in and around Oaxaca. We started with a culinary walk through Oaxaca. Sofia introduced us to so many great food experiences, in the food capital of Mexico. She knew how to find the hidden gems and we loved every minute of it. She also gave us some restaurant and shopping recommendations, which we took advantage of. On the second day, she toured us through the region, and again showed us the personal side of things. We really enjoyed our hikes, talking about nature and the region’s history. We ended with a fun mezcal tasting at a distillery she had known since a kid because it was her grandparents’ favorite. We really appreciated the personal and friendly tour Sofia gave to us and highly recommend booking with her! "
