Great tour based on the Donna Leon novels
"Valerio was an excellent tour guide for my first afternoon in Venice in March. I was delighted to find that he offered a tour based on the sights and experiences in the Donna Leon novels, which I love. This tour exceeded all my expectations. I’ve been to Venice other times and taken other tours, and Valerio’s was the best. He took me to quiet hidden corners and calles and brought the Donna Leon characters, scenes and plot twists to vivid life as we stopped at locations featured in the books. It was really fun and different! The tour went way beyond the books, providing plenty of interesting information about Venetian life and history in general. We visited a really beautiful church, Santa Maria dei Miracoli, as well as a long-established coffee and wine bar that was favored by Commissario Brunetti in the novels. We ended our tour at San Marco, with Valerio giving me great recommendations for good restaurants elsewhere far away from the crowds. It was a great afternoon tour off the beaten path. I’d recommend Valerio for any tour in Venice."

Brunetti's Venice with Valerio
"We took the Brunetti tour with Valerio last week. Valerio was very accomodating in adjusting our start time and meeting location. We had just arrived the previous day and were still getting up to speed. Needless to say, the tour was absolutely fascinating. We learned some very interesting facts about Venice as well as about Donna Leon and Brunetti's Venice. A most enjoyable 2 hours. If your a fan of Brunetti and visiting Venice, definetly look at this tour. It was the highlight of our trip. Aside form the tour, Valerio was extreemly helpful in giving us some recommedations for restaurants and some things to do in Venice and Murano. We visited some areas that were definetely not on the normal tourist track, which made the tour that much more interesting. Thanks Valerio!"
