"Roberto gave our family fabulous insight and true local knowledge tips about Pompeii and the surrounding historical context. Just the right amount of detail and he was so good with his explanations. Couldn’t fault the experience and rate it for anyone to do"
"After reading many reviews and tours of Pompei we opted for Roberto. We don’t like groups and enjoy having a personalised experience. Firstly we had a few glitches getting the tickets and Roberto responded quickly. We travelled via train from Sorrento and opted for a 9:30 tour which meant it was slightly cooler and the train less crowded. It was easy and cheap however the train was very busy upon our return. Roberto skilfully steered us around the huge site keeping us engaged with his vast knowledge and taking advantage of any shade available. It was a superb experience without it we would have had little idea of the stories behind the different remains . If you want a tour with an expert that will create a lasting memory then this is for you."
"Our family had an excellent tour with Roberto A great pace - of knowledge and walking speed given the heat that day With out his guidance we would have missed so much We can highly recommend him "
"Roberto’s warmth and his depth of expertise made our tour of Ercolano and Pompeii a well-paced and informative experience. His love for archeology shone through and made a tour of almost five hours fly past! Fascinating and memorable, thank you Roberto."
"We had a fantastic visit to Pompeii today, starting with a three-hour tour of the site led by Roberto. He is highly knowledgeable and passionate about Pompeii. He pointed out many details and features that we would otherwise have completely missed. The time flew by, whilst he brought everything to life with clear explanations and excellent context, to help us to understand and appreciate what we were seeing. Roberto was friendly, engaging, and approachable, he also gave us helpful advice on how to spend the rest of our day, which was greatly appreciated. We would highly recommend Roberto to anyone visiting Pompeii. "
"Roberto made our visit to Pompeii a trip to remember ! He is very passionate about his work as an archeologist, and shared his vast knowledge of Pompeii, and what the various parts of the City were about. Highly recommend You tour Pompeii with a guide, Roberto is an excellent choice. Made our Italy trip! Thank You Roberto!"
"We had an amazing afternoon with Roberto in Pompei. He is amazingly well versed in the history of the city. The highlight of our trip to Italy!"
"We can highly recommend Roberto as guide, he did a fantastic job introducing us to Pompei with a deep knowledge and really good company. "
"Roberto was just great. He connected several weeks before our private tour and gave advice on buying tickets. He and we were running early so we started the tour before the scheduled time. As it was an afternoon tour we had the unexpected benefit of exploring a bit more post tour (Pompeii is vast). As Roberto is an archaeologist we had a real insight into history, architecture and daily Roman life. He was great at answering our questions and made the whole thing very enjoyable. "
"wonderful experience to see pompeii with roberto’s guidance and amazing insight "

Escape the city and step into another world with a day trip to Pompeii from Rome. This legendary city, silenced by Vesuvius, is waiting to share its secrets. A private day trip to Pompeii is the best way to experience its magic.
In 79 AD, the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius buried Pompeii under a thick blanket of volcanic ash. This tragic event perfectly preserved the city, offering an unparalleled snapshot of Roman life. Your day trip to Pompeii is a literal walk through history.
Imagine the daily hustle of ancient Rome! Pompeii's streets reveal forums, grand villas, and humble bakeries. The stunning mosaics and frescoes that survived show the vibrant culture and artistry of the time. Explore this culture on your Pompeii day trip.
Pompeii reveals ancient 'thermopolia,' the fast-food counters of the Roman world. These spots served hot food and wine to the city's inhabitants. On your tour, discover these ancient eateries and taste the region's modern culinary delights, which have ancient roots.
We owe much of our knowledge of the eruption to Pliny the Younger. He witnessed the disaster from a distance and wrote detailed letters about the terrifying cloud of ash and the final, heroic moments of his uncle, Pliny the Elder, who tried to rescue citizens.
The most moving sights in Pompeii are the plaster casts of the victims. Archaeologists created them by pouring plaster into the voids left by bodies in the hardened ash. These haunting figures capture the final moments of the city's people, a must-see on your day trip.
