It started off with a tour of the famous fish market and meandered through the historic section of Catania, stopping at some hidden gems for bites to eat. We tasted so many delicious local specialties and learned the history behind them. Do not eat before the tour as we were stuffed by the end, although we still managed to find room for granita! Our local guide Agata was very engaging and knowledgeable of Catania traditions and culture. At each stop she told a story about that particular food and its history in Sicily.
