"We did a tour of the Acropolis Museum and the Acropolis with Evanthia, and we’re so glad we did. We were a family of two adults and two older teenagers, 15 and 17, and she managed to keep all four of us engaged throughout the tour. We also chose on purpose to visit the museum first and the Acropolis afterward, starting at the museum around 5:00 p.m. For us, that worked really well. By the time we headed up to the Acropolis later in the day, it was much more pleasant, and having already seen and learned about so much in the museum made the site itself even more meaningful. Evanthia is a great storyteller and shared so much of the history in a way that was interesting and easy to follow, rather than just feeling like a list of dates and facts. One thing we especially loved was the way she found little ways to make us part of the stories she was telling. I won’t spoil it for future visitors, but she gave each of us a role along the way, which made it much easier, and a lot more fun, to keep track of the gods, stories, and connections. She was also lovely to spend time with and made a real effort to engage our teenagers and include them in the conversation. They both said afterward that they really enjoyed the tour and were glad we had done it, which says a lot. And an unexpected bonus was how many photos Evanthia took of us along the way. I think this may be the first family trip where we actually came home with so many nice pictures of all four of us together. Really happy we chose Evanthia. She made both the Acropolis and the museum much more meaningful for us, and I’d definitely recommend her, especially to families traveling with older kids or teenagers."

She made experience very interesting and engaged the kids as at times the younger ones needed more attention. "Markella took a group of 5 of us on a 3 hour tour of the Acropolis, Parthenon and the Acropolis museum. Markella is very knowledgeable of all periods of Greek history and has lots of stories to tell about the Parthenon and surrounding buildings and how the history links with the buildings and the archeological finds. She covered the Greek gods, the battle of Marathon, Persian wars, the Spartans and ancient Athenians, Roman emperor Hadrian and much more. Really interesting. "From the minute we met Alex we felt welcomed and knew we were in the right hands. Alex is knowledgeable and his passion for the Acropolis and Greek history is infectious. He had both of my boys intrigued and catered the tour towards them, weaving the tales of Greek mythology throughout the relics in the museum and then connected this through to our exploration of the archaeological site at the Acropolis itself. He was friendly and patient with my boys, allowing for multiple bathroom and water breaks for them too. My husband and I have toured the Acropolis previously, but it was no where near as magical as being guided by Alex. We had such a wonderful time and would highly recommend Alex to anyone wanting to experience Athens with both a friend and a guide. "
