Weeks before our arrival he guided us on our journey from Rome to Pompeii with the purchase of our train tickets, once we were in Pompeii, he met us at the train station and showed us local places of interest and places to grab a bite along the way. Once we arrived at the site he filled us in on the history and was full of information from ancient times, until modern day and the continuation of the excavation. Such a wonderful guide."

Benedetto was very personable, and did well with the challenge of our sons--aged 11 & 14--being tired and a little wrung out on ruins and museums. "7 of us ( 4 adults and 3 young kids ) had our tour with Benedetto around Pompei . We were all thrilled with the afternoon . Benedetto was a fountain of knowledge and neatly took us round the site . He was skilled at dodging crowds of tourists and timing our 3 hours to be packed with facts whilst answering our many questions . This really brought this amazing place to life for us all ! He was also attentive towards our 3 kids including noticing that my 7 year old needed a sandwich stop ! "Visiting the ancient sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum was the absolute highlight of our trip to Italy! Knowing that we may never get a chance to see these magical sites again we wanted to get the most of out of our visit and Roberto certainly delivered. Seeing Pompeii and Herculaneum through the eyes of trained archeolgist is about as good as it gets. The tour was well planned, informative, and fun and there wasn't a question Roberto couldn't answer. I really appreciated how well he explained the layout of the city before we began walking its streets because it helped us image ourselves a citizen of Pompeii on the way to the forum, the theater, or to the gates out of city. "The tour was fantastic! Roberto couldn't make it for our tour but he organized a fellow tour guide instead of canceling us and she was amazing. Roberto organized our car pick up and drop off and we only had the time to experience pompei for 2 hours and we wanted to see as much as possible in that time. Our tour guide was amazing she took us to all the places we wanted to see explained everything in great detail. It was a great experience and I definitely reccomend Roberto!
