As an aside, I arrived with a minor foot injury and she made darn sure I got to the top via the elevator. "We did a tour of the Acropolis Museum and the Acropolis with Evanthia, and we’re so glad we did. We were a family of two adults and two older teenagers, 15 and 17, and she managed to keep all four of us engaged throughout the tour. We also chose on purpose to visit the museum first and the Acropolis afterward, starting at the museum around 5:00 p.m. For us, that worked really well. By the time we headed up to the Acropolis later in the day, it was much more pleasant, and having already seen and learned about so much in the museum made the site itself even more meaningful. Evanthia is a great storyteller and shared so much of the history in a way that was interesting and easy to follow, rather than just feeling like a list of dates and facts. One thing we especially loved was the way she found little ways to make us part of the stories she was telling. I won’t spoil it for future visitors, but she gave each of us a role along the way, which made it much easier, and a lot more fun, to keep track of the gods, stories, and connections. She was also lovely to spend time with and made a real effort to engage our teenagers and include them in the conversation. They both said afterward that they really enjoyed the tour and were glad we had done it, which says a lot. And an unexpected bonus was how many photos Evanthia took of us along the way. I think this may be the first family trip where we actually came home with so many nice pictures of all four of us together. Really happy we chose Evanthia. She made both the Acropolis and the museum much more meaningful for us, and I’d definitely recommend her, especially to families traveling with older kids or teenagers."
